Russian producer and label owner DZA teamed up with Kidkanevil for this ‘Kaiju‘ Ep. The Japanese word “Kaiju” literally means “strange beast” and is also used to refer to monster movies like Godzilla. This Ep is quite the beast. Kaiju beats is what they do and make Kidkanevil and DZA stand out. Both producers proof to be pretty familiar with making good use of your eardrums. The opening track ‘Scarecrow’ starts off with heavy bass drums and percussion samples to eventually be embraced by raw synth stabs. It immediately sets the tone. Look at that van on the cover. I wonder if it has its own Dr. Emmett Brown. Probably not, because DZA‘s music is enough to take you back to the future. This release serves you some heavy bangers inspired by video game music. He released a special lux-chic-remastering of this EP for the audiophiles on his own How2Make label with the contribution of George Michael. But you need to have some serious dough for this special release. For us poor people there is also a 3$ release available on the Activia Benz bandcamp. Just go for that.
