This month we will see the release of a new Ep from the always versatile UK producer Deft. In the past he has proven to be a true talent and composed tracks from all kinds of different genres. He’ll bring you hip hop, house, ambient and even footwork. His sound is so recognisable, you’ll never doubt if it is him. For this upcoming release he joined the WotNot family. This release is full of club oriented sounds. Expect Always Greener to drop on March 24.
Next month will see the release of ‘Voight Kampff‘, a new EP from Deft. With six tracks he shows you his talent and takes you from house to juke influenced bass music. On every release Deft never seems to hold on to a certain genre, but surely maintains a signature sound. This is a quality not many producers have. He’s not using the same trick on every track and keeps on surprising. Listen for yourself here below and expect it to drop September 6th.
Project Mooncircle will release a label compilation this November and will be full with a lot of beats from talented artists who are still trying to make a name for themselves. Robot Koch, Deft, Krts, Kidkanevil & Daisuke Tanabe, Thriftworks and many others will be featured. The label is known for their forward thinking releases and incredible artist roster. All the featured artists do deserve more attention because of their distinguished sound. Some of these producers even have the ability to seperate themselves from other producers and settle between the contemporary pioneers of electronic music. Listen to the preview here below.
‘Noname’ dropped like a bomb in 2011. It couldn’t got picked up any better. For 123Mrk it must have been the perfect debut. This energetic release was a surprisingly breathe of fresh air. If you’re not familiar with the EP, check it out here. Infinate Machine has put together a nice collection of remixes done by Obey City, ViLLAGE, M.Constant, Herr Johann, Deft, TOTTE and Druid Cloak. It comes out on May 6.
Music inspired by house and hip hop with a glorious shuffle. That’s how Wot Not describes this new release, coming from Glenn Astro. It’s true. From the first track ‘The Power’ till ‘Fizzy Water’ you get to hear different types of beats and tempos that make it hard to label his music. And that’s good. Each track is a new suprise. Rasho T, Deft and Medlar all made a crazy remix. Go get it here.
