Hyperboloid welcomes a new member, and what an entrance this guy makes. El Ched starts this EP with a banger track to get your spirit up. But from the second track till the end he really suprises you with melodic, mood shifting beats and takes you to a mysterious place. And just take a look at the cover. That’s real art. Just beautiful. Have a listen down here and show some support via bandcamp here.
For real Dilla fans this is a gift like no other. Back in 1997 when Jay Dee didn’t have his legendary status yet, he was trying to get heard. A lot of majors approached him to make a remix, but in the end most of them chose another route. Apparently it’s hard to see real talent. Eventually House Shoes made it happen and released a bunch of remix tracks on vinyl. Today it’s a gift in digital form. Thank you House Shoes. Remember the legend.
The sunny days are here. Mutant Joe provides the perfect tunes for those lovely summer chill out sessions. These soul drenched hip hop beats hit the right tune. Show your support!
Producer Swarvy and vocalist/producer Suzi Analogue bundled their creative forces. Together they produced an album full of soulful, raw hip-hop and electronic inspired songs. Suzi Analogue enriched the instrumentals with her voice and there are some guest appearances on the album. The main inspiration for this material are love letters from people like Frida Kahlo & Beethoven. The two tracks below already make the collaboration sound like an effort meant to be. Hop on over to the iTunes store to get your hands on the full copy.
Dutch label Rwina is a true showcase of talent coming from Holland. They have welcomed I.N.T. to their family. This guy has worked with artists like Chet Baker and Frank n Dank and released music on labels like Stones Throw, Brownswood and Fat City. His new album, titled ‘Percy La Rock’, is scheduled for release and a bunch of incredible rappers and singers are featured on the thing. Rwina gave us a quick look behind the curtain and named Guilty Simpson and Sasha Vee. A short cut that has been premiered today features the singer Steve Hartley. What a joint man. The soul is dripping right of it. Delicious.
