OBEY CITY – CHAMPAGNE SOUNDS

The LuckyMe family presents a new release. Obey City joined the crew and will drop his first record for the LuckyMe imprint. He’s one of the founding members of Astro Nautico and also released work on the B.YRSLF label. The Brooklyn based producer takes influences from R&B, House, HipHop, and Uk Funk. ASTRO NAUTICO’S VINYL FANTASY

Back in 2008 Astro Nautico started as a radio show in Montreal, Canada, hosted by Paul Jones. Later on he, Kuhn and Obey City started forming Astro Nautico in NY. It has grown into a forward thinking label with some very impressive releases. Especially their compilation series.The next step they want to take is releasing vinyls. But to achieve this goal, they need the help of their fans. They’ve started up a Kickstarter project to raise money. Move on over here to give some support, and watch this humorous inspirational movie.

123MRK – NONAME EP REMIXED

‘Noname’ dropped like a bomb in 2011. It couldn’t got picked up any better. For 123Mrk it must have been the perfect debut. This energetic release was a surprisingly breathe of fresh air. If you’re not familiar with the EP, check it out here. Infinate Machine has put together a nice collection of remixes done by Obey City, ViLLAGE, M.Constant, Herr Johann, Deft, TOTTE and Druid Cloak. It comes out on May 6.

ASTRO NAUTICO – ATLANTICS VOL. 3

Do you remember Atlantics vol. 2? That compilation from last year that featured names like Baauer, Obey City, Time Wharp and many others who were on the point of breaktrough? Well, that compilation was insane. Yesterday, on 4/20 (hope you had a good smoke day!), Astro Nautico released their third compilation, with a completely different group of talented artists.
