We were not familiar with the work of Sam Binga, but after doing some research we came to the conclusion that this guy is legit. Today we know the guy as Om Unit. Before that, Jim Coles went by the name of 2tall. This tape is a collection of beats from between 2005 and 2008. This collection represents the musical growth Jim Coles went through in his younger years.
And another Norwegian artist stepping up for a new release. Slick Shoota has already earned his stripes with releases on Mad Decent, Hyperboloid, Loose Squares, B. YRSLF and more. This time he joins the Apothecary Compositions imprint for his latest release ‘Keep Bussin’. Slick Shoota operates at footwork tempo and won’t grant you any ease with this release. Four heavy tracks and two remixes done by the veterans Om Unit and Addison Groove.
Kid Drama came through with his debut EP and serves us up-tempo tracks that take you on a journey. You’ll find some deep melodic productions that might take you to a higher conscious level. But on the other hand you have this heavy collaboration with Om Unit. You might know Damon Kirkham (Kid Drama) as one half of the Instr:mental production duo and as Jon Convex.
